When have i ever ordered an appropriate amount of food for one? Answer is never. I wanted to try muktiple disbes so i ended up getting enough for 5 persons. Definitely have days of leftovers but now i can give you guys an idea of whats a yay or a nay. 1. Boiled fish filet in chili oil. Didnt have any spiciness to it which was unfortunate. Was boiled fish. Fish was nice and fresh so this dish gets a 6/10 2. Garlic eggplant with no meat. Sweet sauce and perfectly cooked eggplant. First place that offers non meat option. 8/10 3. Cauliflower pot. Kinda disappointed that it wasnt szechuan spicy like it should be. Boo. 6/10 4. Honey walnut shrimp. 10/10. Nice fat juicy and crispy shrimp. The mayo sauce wasnt too overwhelming. Was perfect. Yum.

Delicious takeout spot! Hu's has been on my radar for years it seems like & I finally tried it! I couldn't decide on any single item so I ordered 3 instead (don't worry I had left overs for days). I ordered delivery & was impressed with how hot the food arrived! I tried their stir fried rice noodle, shrimp in garlic sauce & beef with broccoli lunch special. I love Chinese food but constantly find myself disappointed at the lack of taste or quality, not this time! It's evident that Hu's uses quality meat & ingredients and I think their prices are very comparable to other Asian restaurants who skimp on quality. I seriously can't wait to try other items on the menu!

The times I have gone there the food has been really good, and the service has been pretty good too not everywhere you go. It's gonna be satisfying, but this was pretty good.

I've always driven by this place but so lucky to have stumbled upon it when I was hungry late one night. I go to Mala Sichuan Bistro for Szechuan food a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised by Hu's Cooking. The storefront is very open with a lot of comfortable warm lighting. I loved that it was busy even on a weekday, but the service was still very quick. The customers were diverse from couples to large groups to families to coworkers. Their menu is large, and they have a lot of Chinese and Szechuan options. The portions and price are reasonable! - Cumin lamb: 4/5 could be spicier, but the celery is yummy, seasoning comes through, all complemented by cilantro stems. I always love cumin lamb lol this did not disappoint! - Twice cooked pork: 4.5/5 it's sweeter and milder than other places I've had but I actually really liked it, the texture on the pork belly is so good almost like jelly - Spicy crispy chicken: 4/5 I think this should def be spicier if you are claiming it to be spicy on the menu, but still solid, they give more chicken than other places, the light crisp is perfect, and the onions were cooked just right Overall, I would definitely return, especially with a friend group or family. The flavor is not as spicy and more catered to the medical center demographic, but it is still really flavorful and pleasant! Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area.

This place was perfect after a long day of moving!! Came here to grab a quick bite and was amazed by the fast service and the size of the dishes!! Overall, inside was very clean and busy but there was a good amount of seating. We were lucky enough to find a spot in the front lot but I believe there is also parking around back. We shared the pork dumplings, orange chicken, and bottomless rice. The orange chicken was really crispy (which I like) and very flavorful. We got the dumplings fried, and they came out very hot and crispy. Love that the rice was bottomless too. Overall, I really enjoyed this spot and will definitely be back to dine in or take out.

The first time I ever had Hu's was catering for a school event, and I've been a loyal customer since. My boyfriend and I's go-to dishes are the crispy chicken, mapo tofu, and eggplants in garlic sauce. This time, we requested the mapo tofu to be extra spicy and it was delicious! We also decided to try something new and got the Singapore style stir fried noodles, and it just wasn't our cup of tea. Their prices are very reasonable, with each dish averaging around $13 and comes in a good-sized portion perfect for sharing. Spacious interior, only downside is the limited parking, but there is additional parking behind the building.

Pretty tasty food! Particularly the green beans. Would order those again. The seasoning and fresh garlic used was really delicious. Servers were friendly and our food came out very quickly. Would go back for a tasty Chinese meal

Hu's Cooking is one of my go-to places when I want authentic Chinese food without having to drive to Houston Chinatown. My friends & I love doing family style here since there are so many amazing dishes to share. My personal favorite is the spicy chicken. It does have numbing qualities but even my friends with low spice tolerances will deal with it just because of how delicious it is especially when paired with the green beans and white rice. The green beans have great garlic and wok flavors that are a must have as well. The Mongolian beef, twice cooked pork (not pictured), and the house combination fried noodles also have amazing flavors that I would recommend trying if there are no dietary restrictions. The service is amazing and we usually get seated fairly quickly even at peak dining times. The place is fairly spacious that can accommodate various party sizes but larger party sizes will have to wait longer if the bigger tables are taken. The only downside is parking can be difficult to find. They have parking in the front but also there is a lot in the back of the restaurant. Just be cautious to only park where it is allowed for Hu's Cooking or your car can get towed. Worse case scenario, there is some street parking available where you can walk over to the establishment as well but I would definitely suggest carpooling.
